Rev. Dr. Kevass J. Harding

Rev. Dr. Kevass J. Harding, a Wichita native, graduated from Wichita Southeast High School and earned his Associate of Art from Hutchinson Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Texas at El Paso, a Master of Divinity (cum laude) from Phillips Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry specializing in Church Administration and Congregational Growth from United Theological Seminary.

 

Ordained in the United Methodist Church as a Deacon in 1998 and an Elder in 2002, Dr. Harding has served as Senior Pastor of Dellrose United Methodist Church since 1998, growing the congregation from 25 to over 650 members. He authored Can These Bones Live: Bringing New Life To a Dying Church and attributes this growth to dynamic teaching, fellowship, praise and worship, and creating a welcoming environment.

 

Dr. Harding is married to Teketa Berry, and they have two children, Carnez and Makayla. His roles include Chairperson of the Ethnic Local Church Concerns Committee and board memberships with Wichita USD 259 Public Schools, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sedgwick County, and W.G. Williams Community Foundation. He also teaches as an adjunct professor at Friends University and is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
